Getting involved with HGDC is a really welcoming and straightforward process, and we make it easy for anyone who’s interested to learn more. At the beginning of each semester, we attend the Be Involved Fair where you can meet members of our team, ask questions, and get a feel for what HGDC is all about. From there, we host a call-out meeting where prospective members can meet our officer board, hear more about our mission, and learn what being part of HGDC looks like.
After the call-out, we hold a new member workshop. While it may feel similar to an audition, it’s really just an opportunity for us to get to know you and for you to get comfortable dancing with us. We accept everyone, regardless of experience level, and use this time to place members into groups that best match their dance background. Whether you’re an experienced dancer or trying something new, HGDC is a place where you can grow, feel supported, and be part of something meaningful.
